The Youth+ Institute has responsibility for providing governance and management of new Schooling (Flexible Learning Centres – FLCs) approved by the Edmund Rice Education Australia Board. New Initiatives commonly begin by responding to
- Requests for advice and support from government and non-government agencies, community agencies in offering flexible learning provisions
- Investigating and preparing proposals for establishment of new FLC’s or forms of educational outreach provisions that will or have the potential to transfer to new FLC’s
- The evaluation of proposals for new initiatives and making recommendations to the EREA Executive and Board
- Commencing new initiatives that have been approved by the EREA Board
- The management, coordination and implementation of steps necessary for the establishment of new initiatives including registration, capital planning, selection staffing
- Implementing the appropriate governance and operational processes required to operate new FLCs
